A Special, Two-Part Deep Dive into Family History; Time to find your roots! - presented by Ken Ackerman.

Member Ken Ackerman will lead us in an exploration of how to dive into our family histories.  It will be presented in two parts - Part I: virtual on Wednesday, March 26 and Part II: in person on Sunday, April 6 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  You may attend only Part I but must attend Part I in order to join us for Part II.

Part I. How To:  Ken explains the hands-on mechanics of family research, how to dig up and piece together the basics – the papers, photos, faces, voices, online documents like census records and ship manifests, and, most valuable, learning from the people in our lives – then organize it all to tell a story. 

Part II. Discoveries:  Each person will share something they've discovered about their own family since our first meeting - so we all learn from each other, both our stories and our techniques.  Ken then guides each person on taking the next steps – in time to share the new discoveries with our families over Passover.

Please Note: You may attend only Part I but must attend Part I in order to join us for Part II.
